Topic: Juggling School and Family Life

I am in Fall semester, 9 weeks in, and I am still struggling with the balancing act of school and family life. I put work in the category of family life, since work supports the family. School is separate and ranks third in my hierarchy. Family first, then work, then school. Funny thing is I currently work for the school. So I am here on campus all the time. Sometimes that is a good thing because I can do school things mixed with work things. I will often let a coworker cover my shift early in order to make sure I get home in time to pick my children up from daycare. I don't get many hours though, maybe 12 a week. But I don't think I could work more than that and still be able to get good grades. What are some tips you use to manage the balance of school and family? Are you able to work full time and go to school full time?

Welcome everyone! I created this blog so that my fellow students and I can have discussions on pretty much anything we want. We can talk about school, work, family life, whatever! Feel free to post and introduce yourself. It always makes for better communication if we get to know each other a little better first. That's all for now, thanks for stopping by and I look forward to hearing from you!
